Frequently Asked Questions

Why do you close for the winter?

As much as we wish you could get your sweet treat year round, we have found that ice cream is a seasonal business. We take time during the winter to improve our facilities, hire staff, and enjoy time with family, all to better serve you next season.

Why does Fairfield Flub's close earlier?

To allow us time to close and winterize each store, we stagger our store closings. Fairfield Flub's has closed on Labor Day for the past three seasons, and we find this date to work best.

Why does Ross Flub's close earlier?

To allow us time to close and winterize each store, we stagger our store closings. Ross Flub's has closed in early-mid September for the past nine seasons, and we find this date to work best.

When will you reopen?

Hamilton opens on March 1 every year.

Ross typically opens in mid-late March.

Fairfield typically opens in early April.

Dates will be announced in 2026.
